Engine: Yamaha 70 ETLJ Shopping experience: Superb! Difficult part to locate but Crowley had a bead on it! Yamaha factory CDI module Way to go Crowley! Repair difficulty: Medium Repair time: 30 to 60 mins Repair symptoms: Cylinder #2 spark failure under load So after checking the obvious, plugs, wires, connectors, igniters, I read in my engine manual that the #2 cylinder wouldn’t fire properly if the CDI module had failed. Replaced with Yamaha factory original and voila! Engine runs great! Thanks guys! I’m back on the water!
