Control Lever Grip 6X0-48222-00-00

Engine: Yamaha Shopping experience: Tried to get this part from two other vendors. First vendor sent me a different part than what I ordered, picture showing part number I needed was not what I was sent. Second vendor sent me a completely different part from a different brand , again the part description and picture displayed the part I needed. Crowley Marine had the correct product description, the correct pictured product, and sent me exactly what I ordered. Repair difficulty: Medium Repair time: Less than 30 mins Repair symptoms: Throttle handle broke The plastic female threads cracked where the metal screw is tightened on the inside of the handle. That screw is what keeps the upper handle, throttle locking lever in the correct position. This could have been avoided had they used metal female threads, but everything today is made of plastic, and will eventually break. It was easier to remove the entire handle assembly from the control box and reinstall the handle then fighting it while still attached.
