Repair difficulty: Medium Repair time: More than 4 hours Repair symptoms: lower unit with water in the oil removed lower unit and replaced prop shaft and seals. Not a bad fix.

Engine: Yamaha 15 hp, 4 stroke Shopping experience: Crowley Marine provided me with the parts I needed to repair my Yamaha outboard. The parts were shipped very quickly and I was able to complete my repair and get back out fishing. I will always call on Crowley Marine for my marine parts. Repair difficulty: Medium Repair time: 1 to 2 hours Repair symptoms: Lower unit mainshaft was bent The repair required removing the lower unit from the engine. Then I dismantled the lower unit and removed the bearings and gears from the bent mainshaft. I reinstalled these onto the new mainshaft. I also had to remove and replace with new, the two oil seals in the housing at the propeller end of the mainshaft. I then replaced the new mainshaft assembly into the lower unit housing and then the lower unit back onto the engine. All went fine and the engine runs and operates like new!
