Engine: Yamaha 15hp 2 stroke Shopping experience: The parts explosions on the website are nice… the parts explosions on the phone app are even nicer!!! It was terribly convenient to order replacement parts off the phone! Repair difficulty: Medium Repair time: 1 to 2 hours Repair symptoms: Water in lower unit, engine dying under load Resealed the lower unit, re adjusted ignition timing to factory spec, replaced a corroded carburetor float valve.

Repair difficulty: Easy Repair time: 1 to 2 hours Repair symptoms: Minor engine overhaul Got a good running 9.9 that I put a 15hp reed valve in. Re-propped it. Did the lower case seals, water pump, thermostat, plugs, carb rebuild, etc. A good once over. Engine runs very well now!
