Step 1: Owner's Manual
Check the oil level and add oil it necessary. If the oil level is correct, consult your authorized Suzuki Marine Dealer.
To inform you that the oil pressure caution lamp is working, it will come on for a few seconds after the engine starts.
If the lamp does not come on, stop the engine and consult your authorized Suzuki Marine Dealer.
If the lamp stays on, check the engine oil level and add oil if necessary
If the oil level is correct consult your authorized Suzuki Marine Dealer.
• If you operate the engine with this lamp on, severe engine damage can result.
• Do not rely on the oil pressure caution lamp to indicate the need to add oil. Be sure to periodically check the engine oil level. If the oil level is low, severe engine damage can result.
Step 2: OVER-REVOLUTION LIMITING SYSTEM
This system is activated when engine speed exceeds maximum recommended speed for more than 10 seconds.
If this system activates, engine speed will automatically be reduced to approximately 3000 r/min.
This system must be reset by moving the throttle to the idle position for about one second to restore full engine operation.
The Over-Revolution Limiting System will not be activated at recommended maximum throttle unless propeller pitch is insufficient or other factors (like “over-trimming” or “ventilation”) prevail.
If the system activates for no apparent reason, you should contact your authorized Suzuki Marine Dealer.
